Hi there, my name is Jacqueline Vela and I’m a first-generation college student at San Jose University. I am majoring in Journalism with the goal of becoming a News Anchor. I am very passionate about music and that is why I decided to create a blog about it. Here you’ll find posts about new music from your favorite artists but also music from artists you might not have heard of yet. It is going to be a fun journey and I hope you enjoy what this blog has to offer!
Growing up, I mostly listened to Christian music because I was raised in a religious home so up until freshman year I was out there rocking out to famous Christian artists like Toby Mac and Hillsong. Don’t get me wrong, Christian artists have a lot of good songs out there but I am glad I finally was exposed to other genres of music. Throughout my high school experience, I spent half the time trying to catch up on the fourteen years of music I had never heard. All while trying to stay up-to-date with what was new. Now, I enjoy all types of different music but I guess you can say I am mostly influenced by Pop but that isn’t all I listen to.
I have always loved music and most of the time, you won’t be able to find me without my headphones. You might not notice considering I made sure that I can always be listening to music without having anyone telling me I can’t. That’s why I use black wireless Beats headphones so it blends in with my hair. So far, I haven’t had any problems!
