This young youtube star has done what most young YouTubers dream of. She has made it big by breaking into the music screen and her latest song called “Prom Dres.” It isn’t the type of song you would expect either. Instead of discussing the “luxuries” of prom, she sings about crying in her prom dress.
She said the song idea came to her when she once tweeted about crying in her prom dress and though it is a pretty sad note, the song is good. It has a light and airy vibe that is accentuated by the uke which is her instrument of choice.
Maia talks about her experience at her own prom and how all the expectations she had were exactly that, expectations. The fact she took a bad memory and turned into this light-hearted song ended up working in her benefit.
