On May 8, 2019, Russ released a stand-alone song called “Civil War.” The two minute and thirty-second song have kicking drums and synthetic beats that make you want to bop along.
Right from the top, he gets right into it. Starting with the line, “Call my phone, I don’t want to text you anymore.” That lyric was the lyric that got most people’s attention. Something most people can relate to and that was just within the first few seconds of the song.
The rest of the song is just as catchy and relatable. Though it isn’t an extremely fast paced song, the beat still gets you moving.
