I’m going to start with my music history since it’ll be new to you. The video shown below is one of the videos I took on December 1st, 2018. This was taken at the SAP center when a bunch of different artists came together to perform for Poptopia.
In the video, Shawn is performing Kings of Leons song called “Use Somebody” but Shawn has brought this song back and added it to his set. He put a NEW spin on the song and made it his own by adding his own flavor to it.
Camila Cabello was the main act (I wasn’t complaining) and she also brought back an old song and put a NEW twist on it. In the second video, you’ll see that she covers Elvis Presley’s song ” I Can’t Help Falling in Love”. Just by watching the video, you can see she had the whole crowd captivated by her runs and voice.
Though some songs may be years old, when newer artists bring them back it puts life back into them and sometimes it can bring a new meaning to the song. It may never replace the original version of the song but it is still nice to hear an old song in a new way
